Study Music

We have found that the most effective study music has a steady beat, has no words and is long playing.   We listen to a much wider variety of music than what I have listed here or we would be very bored.     We group study music by whether it is calm or epic.   Calm is usually our favorite background music during memorization, problem solving and reading.   When tired or bored with homework, epic music’s intensity is more motivational.  Unfortunately, epic music videos often have inappropriate images.  Even if  the initial images appear okay, we hide the screen to block the distraction.

I thought I was going to replace this page with a link to my music playlists on YouTube, but observed when a video is deleted all the information about it is also deleted.  I need the following list to help me replace deleted favorites with new favorites.   For my other music playlists, visit  http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjoSQjdpi4kK9yYen92iCtQ.

“Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind,
flight to the imagination and life to everything”

MUSICAL TIMERS

The following pieces are used like musical timers.  The goal is to finish the assigned task before the music ends!  It is great fun to race through an extraordinarily boring task while listening to this epic piece!

APPROXIMATE LENGTH IS 5-10 MINUTES

ANCIENT MUSIC

I wanted to have background music to go along with Bible reading.

BEST HOUSECLEANING MUSIC EVER!

Okay, maybe you prefer something different, but this is MY BLOG.  I enjoy singing with my precious gift from God while we MAKE ourselves do the boring stuff.   Words matter so I am only posting songs with a good message because this is what I want imprinted on my son’s soul and my own.
