Pirate, Fairy & Mermaid Experience at Pirate Invasion is happening on Saturday, June 27, 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, and Sunday, June 28, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. This FREE event will be located on the Belmont Pier in Long Beach.

100’s of costumed Pirates and 3 Pirate ships will descend on the Belmont Pier for 2 days of all things Pirate. Sword fights, cannon and musket battles, a treasure hunt, adult and children’s costume contest, an interactive kid’s zone, arts and craft vendors, live and DJ entertainment on their stages, food and grog, a living history encampment, a live production of “Treasure Island”, and this year they’ve added Mertropolis, an area where 50 mermaids will reside, have a Mermaid themed village and taking advantage of Long Beach’s new Olympic pools we will have the first Mermaid Olympics.

My City Life Youth Center is a ministry of Youth for Truth. They are a parachurch organization working to reach the youth in our community for Christ. The center trains chaplains to be placed on the local high school campuses, they have a teen parent ministry, tutoring and plan to offer many other activities to keep kids off the streets while introducing them to the Lord. Friends of the Valle Vista Library will be selling used books, audios and videos for a $2 a bag on Friday, May 1st at 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday, May 2nd at 10 am to 2 pm.

The Green Coalition will be hosting a bike rodeo for children on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. This rodeo will be in the San Jacinto Walmart parking lot.
FREE bicycle helmets will be given away to each child participant.

Friends of the San Jacinto Library will be selling used literature for a buck a bag on Friday, April 24 at 3 pm to 5 pm. The San Jacinto Library is located at 500 Idyllwild Drive.
The Wheelchair Dancers Organization is offering a FREE wheelchair dance class each Wednesday from April 22nd through May 13th at 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
Classes are located at the Kay Ceniceros Center located at 29995 Evans Road in Menifee.
Those who are disabled and use wheelchairs are welcome as well as a walking partner they may want to bring.
Participants under 18 are required to bring a parent.
