I have been attending dances hosted by Logan for a few years now. I highly recommend this family-fun event. They are so much fun. If you don’t know how to dance, don’t worry there are lots friendly participants that will teach the basics. If you don’t have a dance partner, please come anyway. There is an abundance of singles, especially young men with years of dance experience.
This event is FREE and you don’t need to stress out about your costume. Some crafty folks go all out with their costumes and some do not. My family is not-so-crafty, but we have a blast. I am posting this event more than a month ahead of time so you can start making or assembling your costume.
This is a potluck and is open to all ages. Please bring food to share. Please dress modestly and do not bring alcohol.
I will be there. If you are going. please RSVP with Logan. If you want to meet me there, please leave a comment. ~ Amirah

The following is from Logan’s invitation:
Well you have been waiting for it for a while, now here it is. The theme is adventure. Webster defines it as “an exciting or dangerous experience”. With that in mind, most any costume will work. We are thinking some kind of cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond. Our modesty standards are still applicable (No provocative, crude, immoral clothing, pictures or wording. Boys dressed as Gentlemen with shirts. Girls dressed as Ladies with no bra straps or cleavage showing.) Come on out for a fun wholesome evening of good old contra dancing. For those who have never been to one of our balls understand that this is a social dance. We will teach you all you need to know. The idea is to meet new people and thus everyone will be continually mixed together. A ball typically consists of four sets with four dances in each thus we will be doing about 16 dances throughout the night. In between dances there will be a contest or games, relating to the theme as well as a potluck, so please bring something “adventurous” to share.
Please bring a potluck dish, something “adventurous”.
This is an open ball, so feel free to invite your friends, just let us know so we know how many to expect.
You can email me here if you are coming, thank.
