Million Kids Informed Volunteers Training — April 3

The following is from https://www.facebook.com/events/258157977688324/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular:

Please join us for our Informed Volunteer Training!!

Human Trafficking is the fastest growing crime in America. Our middle school and high school students are the most vulnerable targets for being trafficked by pimps and predators.

The average age for entering prostitution in Southern California is 13 years old. Both girls and boys are vulnerable to sexual abuse. 75% of kids who end up in prostitution have been previously sexually exploited. 40% come from foster homes and a near equal percentage come from broken homes or homes with single parent households. Predators already know this!

At this presentation, you will:

• TRAIN to become an INFORMED VOLUNTEER. This program will equip you to be able to inform others about the issue of human trafficking and what EVERYONE can do to prevent child sex trafficking.

• MORE IMPORTANT – it will provide you with the basis for actionable programs that you can lead and participate in to empower kids to take a stand against exploitation.

This event is open to the public. Please feel free to share and invite others who you think would be interested!

When:
Thurs., April 3, 2014 from 6pm-9pm
