1ST ANNUAL CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT AT VAIL LAKE RESORT

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

SATURDAY AND/OR SUNDAY ACTIVITIES

Two Battle Reenactments Daily – 11:45AM and 2:30PM

Artillery, Cavalry, and Infantry Demos Throughout the Day

Tree Trimming Bee – 11:00AM on Saturday

Ladies Tea at 1:30PM on Saturday

Church Services at 9:00AM on Sunday.

7:00 PM Opening of the Activities – Marine Band begins with “First Noel” and “Angles We Have Heard on High.”

7:10 PM Welcoming Comments – Marine Band Plays “God Save the South” and “Star Spangled Banner.”

7:20 Caroling and Tree Trimming – Songs To Include: “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “O Christmas Tree,” “Here We Come A Caroling (Wassail Song),” “The Holly and the Ivy,” “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear,” and “Joy To TheWorld.”

7:45 PM Reading of “The Night Before Christmas,’ by Lois Tunnell. Marine Band plays “Up On The Housetop.”

8:00 PM Caroling Resumes – Songs To Include; “One Horse Open Sleigh (Jingle Bells),” “We Three Kings,” and “Deck The Halls.”

8:15 PM Special Guest Arrives – Marine Band play “Jolly Old St. Nicholas.”

8:20 PM Caroling Resumes – “Hark! The Herald Angles Sing,” “While Shepherds Watched,” “Angles From The Realms Of Glory,” “God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen,” “O Holy Night,” and “Lo, How A Rose E’re Blooming.”

8:45 PM Closing of Activities and Final Caroling – “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” and “Silent Night.”
