Veteran’s Day – November 11

My son looks forward to the Veteran’s Day event at Gibble Park all year.  His favorite part of the event is being allowed to climb on and in the vehicles.  The event is from 9am to 3pm on Sunday, November 11, 2012.

The same service will be offered for dinner, between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.”

In addition to our own family I wanted to share with you an association that a number of military homeschoolers started. The Home School Association for Military Families (HSAMF) provides support, resources, and community regardless of duty station and branch of service. It was formed
primarily as a means to offer another form of consistency (instead of
having to change support groups with every PCS). Similar to a very
large yahoo group, HSAMF, also offers extensive resources, activities,
monthly newsletters, free school supplies, and more.”
