San Diego Festival of Sail — August 31 – September 3

San Diego Festival of Sail is held August 31-September 3, 2012 from 9am to 7pm daily at Maritime Museum and adjacent areas.  Vendor area is FREE to all.   For ticket information visit their website at http://www.sdmaritime.org/festival-of-sail, or call 619-234-9153.

The LARGEST Tall Ship festival on the west coast hosted by the Maritime Museum of San Diego, will transform the North Embarcadero into a nautical theme park. More than twenty tall ships and other fascinating vessels from around the world will be visiting San Diego.

Held over Labor Day weekend each year, it starts with a bang! On Thursday, a day before FOS officially opens, cannon fire will salute the entrance of the tall ships from all over the world as they parade around San Diego Bay finally ending at the Maritime Museum’s docks. A limited number of seats are available for the tall ship parade.

Daily: enjoy visiting ships and crew, a petting zoo for kids with a variety of animals to pet, Tall ship cannon battles, Treasure Seeker Pirate themed bay cruises, over 100 arts and craft vendors, plus a multitude of food options, interaction with pirates, and more…

Festival of Sail is a special 4 day event. Returns, coupons, passes, general admission, and seafarer passes are not valid during the 4 days of Festival of Sail. A Daily Festival of Sail 1-Day ticket & MULTI-Day Passe or Maritime Museum of San Diego Membership are required to enter.
