How To Knit or Crochet – Mondays

Would you like an excuse to learn how to knit or crochet?   It is pretty common for a homeschooling mom to teach other moms and children at the park while the kiddos are gleefully playing.

Another learning opportunity is The Valley Needlers Knitting Guild.  They offer FREE informal workshops and knitting assistance each Monday morning from 9:00 am-11:15 am.  They meet in the community room of Provident Bank at 1690 East Florida Avenue, Hemet.

Childcare is not provided.   Children are welcome to learn as long as they are interested in learning this art form.   For more information, call Carole Herman the Club President at 760-413-9422.

This group makes hand-knit caps, sweaters and scarves for Operation School Bell, as well as new baby layettes for unwed mothers, all through the Assistance League of Hemacinto.  The group also has makes helmet liners and scarves to the military.

Here is a 2011 article I found about them:  http://www.pe.com/local-news/riverside-county/hemet/hemet-headlines-index/20110721-club-corner-valley-needlers-knitting-guild.ece.
