Civic duty is defined as the responsibilities of a citizen. It is a duty, obligation, responsibility — the social force that binds you to the courses of action demanded by that force.
I believe civics should be taught the moment your child is old enough to form friendships. Our relationships help us learn responsibility for the well-being of our family, friends and community. It is my concern for the well-being of my community that caused this blog to be created.
Freedom came at a cost and will not stay if not maintained. Knowledge of our rights as a citizen is an important duty for everyone living in the United States of America.

We must instill a sense of duty in our children; every right implies a responsibility;
every opportunity, an obligation; every possession, a duty
John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
In the United States, loyalty is not a matter of allegiance
to a ruler or even to our homeland.
Loyalty is measured by faithfulness to the Constitution of the United States.

chairman of Home School Legal Defense Association
