Memorial Day in the Making Living History Tours – May 26 & 27

People are often amazed to find this six-acre historical treasure nestled among the busy streets of the City of Industry.  Called “one of California’s true historic treasures” by the Smithsonian Institution, the Homestead Museum provides a unique way to look at Southern California’s history from the 1840s, when this land was still part of Mexico, through the 1920s, when Los Angeles came to be known world-wide as a major metropolitan city. Through all of its programs, the museum strives to better understand the past and people’s ability to shape history.

The museum is located one mile north of SR-60 (Pomona Freeway) at the Hacienda Boulevard exit, 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.  Plenty of free parking is available.
