Science Saturday — 1st Saturdays

Explore the worlds of geology, archaeology, history, and natural history with our series of hands-on activities led by our education and science staff.  This event and parking is FREE.

Science Saturdays give you a chance to interact directly with WSC scientists and educators as they bring to life various facets of scientific exploration.  Hands-on activities, games, and demonstrations give kids a chance to have fun while learning about science!

Science Saturdays have something fun and informative for all ages (including parents!) but are most geared towards elementary and middle school ages.

Make sure to pick up your Ice Age Chill Card at Science Saturday!  Attend any 3 of the 4 Science Saturdays per Summer/Fall or Winter/Spring series and receive FREE museum admission for you and up to 4 guests!

This event is held on the first Saturday of each month of August-December and February-June from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m

Western Science Center
2345 Searl Parkway
Hemet, CA 92543

Check the schedule before you attend.  Each month has a different theme.

Additional Resources

The library has so many science resources available that what I find works best is to cut and paste the Science Saturday theme into the library’s browser and let my son choose what he would like to review.  We have done this so many times, I have lost count on how many library resources we have devoured this way.
